About UsOliver Beach began their "going green" journey over four years. A passionate group of teachers and students began changing the climate of the school and implementing a variety of programs to help nurture our environment and teach our students about stewardship. While we are still working toward "Green School" status, we have created many successful programs. The Green School status would be wonderful, but more important is the change in culture in our students and community.

Who We Are |
Our students are promoting ecological awareness with each other as well as with their parents, grandparents, and the community. We are extremely proud of the ongoing efforts among our students, staff, parents and the community to insure that we are all continually educating, informing, and helping to reduce our carbon footprint for now as well as for future generations

Our History |
For over four years, Oliver Beach has partnered with Gunpowder State Park, a park that is literally in the back yard of some of our school families. In 2011, we participated in our first clean-up event, in which Oliver Beach families walked the park grounds gathering trash and debris. The families that participated gathered a pick-up truck full of trash which was transported to the appropriate facility by Ranger Nancy Gardner. Oliver Beach participants provided over 40 hours of volunteer service in one morning. This is a quarterly event!
